One of Navarre Beach’s longest running watersports weekends is coming up September 11 through 13.
The 36th Annual Juana Good Time Regatta will bring multihull sailboats, beach racing, live music, food and three days of events to Juana’s Pagodas and Sailors’ Grill on Navarre Beach.
The regatta is built for both experienced and newer racers, with organizers emphasizing that the weekend is supposed to be as much about having a good time as crossing the finish line. Sailboats ranging from beach cats and trimarans to larger multihull cruisers are eligible to participate.

Friday Starts With the Wish for Wind Party
Friday, September 11
Wish for Wind Party: 6 PM to 8 PM
Juana’s Pagodas and Sailors’ Grill
The weekend starts Friday evening with the traditional Wish for Wind Party and final packet pickup.
Registered participants can enjoy free draft beer and light snacks during the party, along with food and drink specials available to racers wearing their Good Time wristbands.
Live music starts even earlier, with BT Turner scheduled on the Deck from 4 PM to 8 PM. Six Piece Suits takes over the Pagoda from 8 PM to midnight, with a DJ also scheduled in the Club.
Online registration remains available until 8 PM Friday.
Saturday Brings the Distance Races

Continental Breakfast: 9 AM to 10 AM
Skippers Meeting: 10 AM
Distance Races: 11:30 AM
Hobie Wave Timed Beach Races: 11:45 AM
Saturday is the first full racing day.
The morning begins with a continental breakfast on the Beach Stage followed by the skippers meeting at 10 AM.
Distance racing is scheduled to begin at 11:30 AM, although the exact start could shift depending on weather and wind conditions.
The regatta is open to different sizes and styles of multihull sailboats, so spectators can expect to see everything from smaller beach cats to larger multihulls on the water.
Hobie Wave Racing Gives Sailors Without a Boat a Way to Compete
One of the more interesting parts of the 2026 event is the Hobie Wave Timed Beach Racing.
These races are specifically designed for experienced sailors who want to compete but do not have a boat entered in the main regatta.
The official 2026 race program says the timed beach races will use rental Hobie Waves from Navarre Beach Ski & Sail.
Saturday’s Hobie Wave racing is scheduled to begin at 11:45 AM, shortly after the distance fleet gets underway.
A second round of Hobie Wave racing is scheduled for Sunday at 11:30 AM.
Saturday Night Continues With Food and Live Music
The racing may end on the water, but Saturday does not end there.
Jay Williams Band is scheduled to perform on the Deck from 4 PM to 8 PM.
Registered sailors can then head to the Sailors’ Buffet from 6 PM to 8 PM, which includes food, free draft beer and additional drink specials.
Horseshoe Kitty takes over the Pagoda from 8 PM to midnight, with a DJ continuing in the Club.
Food and drink specials associated with the regatta are reserved for registered participants wearing a Good Time wristband.

Sunday changes the racing format.
Instead of Saturday’s distance course, sailors move into buoy and triangle racing beginning around 11 AM.
Hobie Wave competitors follow at 11:30 AM before the weekend wraps up with the awards party from 3 PM to 5 PM.
The awards party includes food, drink specials, a racing slideshow and trophies from Holley Hill Pottery.
Horseshoe Kitty is also scheduled to perform on the Deck from 3 PM to 7 PM.
You Do Not Have to Be an Expert Racer
Despite the competition, the Juana Good Time Regatta is intentionally designed to be approachable.
Organizers describe the event as being for both experienced and novice racers, with the main emphasis on having a “Good Time.”
The field is open to a wide range of multihull sailboats, including beach cats, trimarans and cruisers.
Registered participants receive a regatta T-shirt while supplies last along with access to the weekend’s participant parties and food and drink offers. Single-handed entries include one shirt and wristband, while double-handed registrations include two of each.
Non-racers can also register for weekend activities through the Regatta Network storefront.

You do not have to race to enjoy the weekend.
Juana’s sits directly on Santa Rosa Sound, making the property and surrounding Navarre Beach waterfront a natural place to watch the multihulls head onto the water.
Saturday’s distance races begin around 11:30 AM, while Sunday’s buoy and triangle races begin around 11 AM.
Because sailing schedules depend heavily on wind and weather conditions, race times can shift.
