September starts with the Blue Angels overhead and builds toward a packed Labor Day weekend around Pensacola and Pensacola Beach.
This week brings the only scheduled Blue Angels practice of the week, two Leanne Morgan shows, a three day Oktoberfest celebration, the return of the Pensacola Beach Bathtub Races, end of summer fireworks and a major electronic music show at Laguna’s.

Tuesday, September 1
Around 10:30 AM
NAS Pensacola
The Blue Angels are back over Pensacola Tuesday for their only scheduled practice of the week.
The demonstration is expected to begin around 10:30 AM and typically lasts about 45 to 55 minutes. Visitors can watch from the National Naval Aviation Museum flight line at NAS Pensacola, with other viewing opportunities around Pensacola Bay and Fort Pickens.
Admission to the National Naval Aviation Museum and official practice viewing area is free.
September 1 is not scheduled as an autograph day.

Comedian Leanne Morgan is spending two nights in Pensacola as her Time of Our Lives Tour comes to the Pensacola Bay Center.
Morgan has become one of the country’s biggest touring comedians following her Netflix specials and increasingly large theater and arena shows.
Pensacola originally had one performance on the schedule before a second night was added.
If you are looking for a major indoor event during Labor Day weekend, this is one of the biggest shows happening around town.
Spend the Weekend at Coastal County Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest season starts early in Pensacola this year.
Coastal County Brewing is hosting a three day Oktoberfest celebration with German inspired food, specialty beer releases, traditional music, commemorative steins and a full schedule of games and competitions.
Saturday’s festivities include stein hoisting, keg tossing, pretzel eating and other Oktoberfest style competitions.
Admission and parking are free.
The celebration begins Friday and continues through Sunday.

Yes, people really race bathtubs across Santa Rosa Sound.
The Beach Famous Bathtub Races return to Bamboo Willie’s Sunday afternoon as one of Pensacola Beach’s more unusual Labor Day weekend traditions.
Teams attempt to race homemade bathtub vessels through the water behind Bamboo Willie’s while spectators watch from the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk.
The tradition dates back decades and has also helped raise money for local organizations.
Teams can register to race, but watching from the Boardwalk is free.

Pensacola Beach closes out Labor Day weekend with fireworks Sunday night, and one of the best places to watch them is from the water.
Frisky Mermaid is offering a special End of Summer Fireworks Cruise that departs before the show and positions guests on the water for views of the fireworks over Pensacola Beach.
The cruise runs from 7:30 PM to 8:45 PM, making it an easy addition after spending the afternoon at the Bathtub Races or around the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk.
This is a special event departure, so booking ahead is recommended.

See Flux Pavilion at Laguna’s on Pensacola Beach

Labor Day weekend gets considerably louder Sunday night.
Flux Pavilion and Yookie are taking over the Tiki Deck at Laguna’s for a late night electronic music event on Pensacola Beach.
The event begins at 8 PM and continues until 1 AM. Guests must be 18 or older, and concert tickets are required.
If you are already heading toward Pensacola Beach Sunday, you can also spend part of the day at Laguna’s Adventure Park before the show.
The park includes go karts, ropes courses, zip rails, climbing attractions and a splash pad.
Make a Labor Day Weekend Out of It
This week starts with the Blue Angels and builds toward one of the busiest weekends Pensacola Beach has seen since school started.
Sunday alone gives you plenty of options. Watch the Bathtub Races in the afternoon, spend some time around the Boardwalk, head onto the water for the End of Summer Fireworks Cruise and then finish the night at Laguna’s.
Or stay closer to downtown earlier in the weekend with Leanne Morgan and Coastal County Oktoberfest before heading toward the beach Sunday.
