Expect an expanded street closure
Palafox Street between Main and Garden streets is scheduled to close to vehicle traffic from 3 to 10 p.m. The festival itself begins at 5 p.m.
Drivers should avoid trying to reach parking spaces inside the event footprint. Arriving before the evening rush and parking several blocks away will make departure easier.
Where should visitors park?
Downtown parking includes city-managed on-street spaces, surface lots and garages. Rates vary by location, so visitors should check signs carefully and start a valid session where required.
City-managed spaces can generally be identified by teal or blue signage. Private parking areas may have different rules and rates. The city’s Park Pensacola map provides current facilities and payment options. Park Pensacola
More than a car show
The automotive theme gives August’s Gallery Night an extra draw, but the evening remains an arts and culture event. Visitors can browse local makers, stop at downtown restaurants and shops, and catch performances as they move through the closed-street area.
Families may want to arrive near the 5 p.m. start, while visitors interested in dinner or nightlife can use Gallery Night as the beginning of a longer downtown evening.
Because the performer and vehicle lineups may continue changing, check Gallery Night Pensacola’s official channels before leaving home.
