Pensacola Humane Society has rescheduled the 20th annual Barktoberfest for Sunday, November 15, following its earlier postponement.
The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Seville Square and Fountain Park in downtown Pensacola. This year, Barktoberfest will join forces with Danetoberfest, an event organized by Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue.
New Date, Time and Location
Barktoberfest and Danetoberfest
Sunday, November 15, 2026
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Seville Square and Fountain Park
Downtown Pensacola
General admission is free. The organizers have not announced a required public reservation or ticket.
The new date replaces the event’s previously planned October appearance. Anyone who saved or shared the earlier date should update their calendar.
What Visitors Can Expect
The festival is expected to include vendor booths, food trucks, beverage vendors, dog contests, training demonstrations and activities for pets and their owners.
The Pensacola Humane Society’s official page also identifies sponsored areas for dog races, dogs at play, face painting, a photo booth and a best dog costume contest. A final timed activity schedule has not been published.
Danetoberfest’s addition brings Northwest Florida Great Dane Rescue into the event and broadens its focus on rescue dogs and responsible pet ownership.
Can You Bring a Dog?
Barktoberfest is built around dogs and their owners, but visitors should prepare for a busy public environment with other animals, children, food and crowds.
The organizer has not published a complete 2026 attendee policy on its current event page. Owners should keep dogs leashed, bring water and waste bags and avoid bringing pets that become uncomfortable around crowds or unfamiliar dogs.
Parking instructions and street closures have not been announced. Downtown visitors should plan to use public spaces around the Seville Square area and avoid blocking neighborhood driveways.
Vendors and Volunteers Are Still Needed
Pensacola Humane Society is accepting vendor and sponsor applications and has posted a volunteer registration link on its official Barktoberfest page.
Businesses, rescue groups and community organizations interested in participating should apply directly through the Humane Society’s website. Questions can be directed to barktoberfest@pensacolahumane.org or 850 748 2471.
Why the Event Matters
Barktoberfest is a public festival and a fundraiser supporting Pensacola Humane Society’s work with cats and dogs.
Pairing the event with Danetoberfest gives two animal welfare organizations a shared downtown audience while helping local rescues introduce their work to potential adopters, volunteers and donors.
Visitors should confirm the final activity schedule and any weather updates through the Pensacola Humane Society before traveling on November 15.
