Former Military Dentists Opening Family Focused Practice in Gulf Breeze
A new dental practice focused on comprehensive care and whole body wellness is preparing to open in Gulf Breeze.
Husband and wife dentists Dr. Shane Mobley and Dr. Dixie Mobley are expected to open Pearl & Pine Dental Studio in August at 3416 Gulf Breeze Parkway. The practice will combine general and advanced dentistry with airway focused care, functional medicine principles and an emphasis on helping patients feel heard throughout the treatment process.
A Different Approach to Dental Care
Pearl & Pine Dental Studio was created in response to changes the Mobleys were seeing among patients and families.
More parents were asking questions about their children’s breathing, sleep and oral development. Adult patients were also looking for care that considered how oral health may connect to other areas of the body.
At the same time, the Mobleys saw patients who felt rushed or unheard in traditional healthcare settings.
The new practice will focus on spending more time with patients, identifying potential root causes, preventing future problems and creating personalized treatment plans designed to support long term health.
The approach is also personal for the Mobleys, who are raising two young children of their own.
They wanted to build the type of dental practice they would choose for their own family, with an environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and participating in decisions about their care.
“Our vision is to create a practice where patients feel heard, valued, and empowered to achieve optimal health,” Drs. Shane and Dixie Mobley said. “We are excited to serve the Gulf Breeze community and build lasting relationships with the families who entrust us with their care.”
Meet the Dentists
Dr. Shane and Dr. Dixie Mobley are both former active duty military dentists who bring complementary areas of advanced training to the practice.
Dr. Shane Mobley focuses on oral surgery, dental implants and comprehensive dental reconstruction, with an emphasis on precision, stability and long term function.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Florida and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Shane completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency while serving as an officer in the United States Navy. He continues to serve in the Navy Reserves and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He is also an active student of The Pankey Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides advanced dental education focused on comprehensive care and the dentist patient relationship.
Dr. Dixie Mobley focuses on functional medicine, airway centered dentistry, expansive orthodontics and biomimetic dentistry.
Her approach looks beyond treating individual dental problems to identify factors that may affect breathing, oral development and overall health throughout different stages of life.
Dr. Dixie earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida.
She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency while serving as an officer in the United States Air Force. Her continuing education includes training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, the Institute for Functional Dentistry and Airway Health Solutions University.
Together, the Mobleys plan to offer surgical, restorative, preventive and wellness focused dental care under one roof.
What Services Will Pearl & Pine Offer?
Pearl & Pine Dental Studio will provide comprehensive dental care for individuals and families while also offering treatment options for more complex functional and restorative concerns.
The practice’s areas of focus will include preventive dentistry, oral surgery, dental implants, comprehensive dental reconstruction, airway centered dentistry, expansive orthodontics and biomimetic care.
Biomimetic dentistry focuses on preserving as much of the natural tooth as possible while using techniques and materials designed to recreate the tooth’s natural function.
Airway centered dentistry considers how the development and position of the teeth, jaws and oral structures may relate to breathing, sleep and overall health.
By combining these approaches, the Mobleys hope to help patients address immediate dental needs while also building a plan for lasting oral health and function.
A Military Family’s Next Chapter
Opening Pearl & Pine Dental Studio also represents a new chapter for the Mobley family following their military service.
Both dentists completed advanced residency training while serving as military officers before transitioning into civilian practice.
Their experience treating patients in the military helped shape the shared values behind Pearl & Pine, including careful planning, clinical precision, service and personal responsibility for each patient’s care.
The couple selected Gulf Breeze as the place to establish their family owned practice and raise their children while continuing to serve families throughout the Gulf Coast.

Why It Matters
Pearl & Pine Dental Studio is more than another new business opening in Gulf Breeze.
The practice reflects a broader shift in what many local families expect from healthcare. Patients are increasingly looking for providers who take time to answer questions, consider the complete picture and focus on prevention rather than only responding when a problem becomes urgent.
For the Mobleys, the goal is to bring that approach to dentistry while building long term relationships with the families they serve.
With two military trained dentists, complementary areas of expertise and a shared focus on whole body wellness, Pearl & Pine Dental Studio will bring a new comprehensive dental care option to the Gulf Breeze community this summer.
