A longtime Navarre Beach watersports operation is entering a new chapter under local family ownership.
Navarre Beach Ski and Sail, along with the beach service operations at Juana’s Pagodas & Sailors’ Grill, has officially been acquired from Captain Kirk Newkirk and Key Sailing by a Florida family-owned group committed to continuing the business's longstanding presence on Navarre Beach.
The operation will continue serving guests from its location at Juana’s, offering watersports rentals, beach services, and on-the-water experiences for both visitors and locals.
Continuing a Longstanding Navarre Beach Tradition
For decades, Navarre Beach Ski and Sail has been part of the beach experience at Juana’s.

Hobie Cat sailboat rentals
Kayak rentals
Paddleboard rentals
Beach chair and umbrella rentals
Beach service at Juana’s
The business will now be operated by Spencer White, who will oversee daily operations and future growth.

A Connection to Juana's History
Many visitors may not realize that Juana’s roots are closely tied to the watersports operation itself.
Juana’s originally began as a watersports business in 1989 before growing into the waterfront restaurant, bar, and entertainment destination that has become a landmark on Navarre Beach.
The acquisition keeps that connection intact, with Navarre Beach Ski and Sail continuing to operate directly from the property while maintaining its partnership with Juana’s Pagodas & Sailors’ Grill.
The transition also preserves the family-owned atmosphere that has helped define both businesses for generations.
Looking Ahead
The acquisition was completed in cooperation with Captain Kirk Newkirk and Key Sailing, with both businesses continuing forward on positive terms.
While operations will remain familiar to returning guests, the new ownership group plans to continue investing in the experience while expanding opportunities for visitors to enjoy Navarre Beach from the water.
As summer gets underway, guests can continue to expect the same watersports rentals and beach services that have been part of the Navarre Beach experience for years.
