The Santa Rosa Island Triathlon consists of three portions:
600 yard swim

The course is designed as a flat and fast sprint distance race along Pensacola Beach.
The Santa Rosa Island Triathlon Swim
The swim takes place in the Gulf of Mexico near Casino Beach.
Athletes swim approximately 100 yards out, travel west for approximately 400 yards and then turn back toward shore for the final 100 yards before heading toward transition.
The total swim is approximately 600 yards.
The race uses a self seeded time trial start, with faster swimmers starting first.
The Santa Rosa Island Triathlon Bike Course
The bike portion is a 21 kilometer out and back course.
Athletes travel east along Via De Luna Highway 399 for approximately 10.5 kilometers before turning around and returning to the transition area.
The bike course closes at 9:30 AM.
The Santa Rosa Island Triathlon Run Course
The final portion of the race is a 5 kilometer run.
Runners head east on Via De Luna before turning onto Avenida 10 and entering the Pensacola Beach neighborhood.
Water stops are located along the course before runners return toward Via De Luna and the finish near the Gulfside Pavilion.
The run course closes at 10:30 AM.
