Free Outdoor Movies Are Coming to Pace and Gulf Breeze

Santa Rosa County has announced three more free Movie in the Parks nights in Pace and Gulf Breeze, beginning Friday, August 14.
The county’s latest release lists Aladdin at Benny Russell Park, The Little Mermaid at Tiger Point Park and a rescheduled showing of Moana back at Benny Russell Park. Each movie begins at sunset, admission is free and popcorn will be provided.

The September 11 screening is a makeup date for a weather cancellation earlier in the summer.
What to bring and what it costs
Admission and popcorn are free. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating in front of the large outdoor screen.
Local food trucks are expected at the screenings, with food and drinks available for individual purchase. The county has not published the participating trucks or their menus.
No parking charge or advance reservation requirement is listed. Families may want to arrive before sunset to park, choose a viewing spot and purchase food before the movie begins.
A date discrepancy families should know about
Santa Rosa County’s August 6 news release lists the upcoming screenings on August 14 and August 28. The county’s older standing Movie in the Parks webpage still displays August 7 and August 21 without the confirmed movie titles.
Because the August 6 release is newer and includes the named films, the dates in this article follow that update. Families should check the county’s news release or social accounts before leaving, especially if weather is possible.
Benny Russell Park construction
The Aladdin screening is scheduled at Benny Russell Park four days after playground construction begins there on August 10.
Santa Rosa County says only a portion of the park will close. The splash pad and its adjacent playground will remain open, although the easternmost parking lot may close intermittently for construction equipment and materials.
The county has not announced a cancellation or location change for the August 14 movie.
The outdoor series offers families in Pace, Gulf Breeze and nearby communities three more no-admission evenings before the program ends September 11. Choose a movie, pack chairs and verify the latest county update on the day of the screening.
