Pensacola Halloween Market to Feature Haunted Trolley, Live Animals and 200+ Vendors

Downtown Pensacola is getting a full Halloween takeover on Saturday, October 31.
Palafox Market’s Halloween Market will bring trick or treating, live animals, a Haunted Trolley, kids activities, live music and more than 200 local vendors to Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza and Plaza Ferdinand VII.
The event runs from 9 AM to 2 PM, with free admission and most activities included at no cost.
Here’s what to expect.
See Live Animals at Creepy Critters
One of the standout additions this year is Creepy Critters, a live animal experience presented by Animal Tales.
Families will get an up close look at animals that fit the Halloween theme, including a tarantula, coastal carpet python, Madagascar hissing cockroach, emperor scorpion and Norway rat.
There will also be a mystery animal revealed during the event.
An Animal Tales naturalist will be on site to introduce the animals and share more about each species.
Ride the Haunted Trolley
The Halloween Market will take place across two downtown locations, and a free Haunted Trolley will connect Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza and Plaza Ferdinand VII throughout the event.
The trolley is designed to be part of the experience, with Halloween treats for young riders and the possibility of seeing Winterfest Pensacola’s Pumpkinhead along the way.
It is also an easy way for families to move between both sections of the market without having to walk the full distance.
Trick or Treat Through the Market
Kids are encouraged to wear costumes and trick or treat with participating vendors throughout both market locations.
There will also be a Kids Zone with games and activities, photo opportunities and appearances from Pumpkinhead.
Mini train rides will be available as well, although those are not included among the free activities.
Shop More Than 200 Local Vendors
The Halloween Market will still include everything people expect from a Saturday at Palafox Market.
More than 200 vendors are expected across the two downtown locations, with locally made food, handmade goods, artwork and seasonal items available throughout the morning and early afternoon.
Shoppers can expect produce, baked goods, honey, plants, flowers, pet treats, spices, clothing, candles, skin care products and other locally made items.
With the event landing on Halloween, it also gives visitors a chance to combine a market trip with family activities before evening trick or treating begins.
Catch Live Music Downtown
The String Farm bluegrass band will perform near the Martin Luther King Jr. bust during the market.
Between the music, costumes, live animals, trolley rides and trick or treating, the Halloween Market will feel much more like a full downtown event than a normal Saturday market.
