Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival Expands Across Downtown and the Beach

More than 150 performers will appear during an 11-day celebration of original music from October 1 through 11.
The Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival will return October 1 through 11 with an expanded format covering Historic Downtown Pensacola, community outreach programs and a final weekend on Pensacola Beach.
More than 150 songwriters and performers are included on the 2026 roster. Most performances are free unless a particular schedule listing says otherwise.
Rather than watching only the recording artists who made songs famous, audiences can hear the writers perform their own material and explain the stories behind it.
How the Expanded Festival Works
The festival is divided into three parts:
October 1–4: Performances throughout Historic Downtown Pensacola
October 5–7: School, veterans and nonprofit outreach programs
October 8–11: Performances at Pensacola Beach venues
The downtown component was introduced in 2025 and has returned after receiving support from venues, volunteers and audiences.
Although organizers describe the event as spanning two weeks, the published festival dates cover 11 consecutive days.

The roster includes nationally recognized writers, recording artists, regional performers and Pensacola-area talent.

The broader official roster contains more than 150 names. Individual appearances can change, so visitors should rely on the live performer schedule rather than an older saved image.
Where Will Performances Take Place?
Announced downtown venues include The District, The Fish House, Lucy’s in the Square and Calvert’s in the Heights.
Pensacola Beach venues include Flounder’s Chowder House, the Salty Rose at The Pensacola Beach Resort, The Landing at Red Fish Blue Fish, Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach and Hilton Pensacola Beach.
The official venue directory also includes Paradise Bar & Grill, Sandshaker Lounge, Native Café, Oyster Bay Boutique Hotel, the Museum of Commerce, WUWF RadioLive and WSRE Studio Amped.
Not every performer appears at every venue. Check the official schedule for the correct location and starting time before traveling.
Tickets, Food and Parking
Most performances are free, except where specifically noted on the official schedule. The festival has not published one universal admission pass or a single price covering all ticketed programs.
Food and drinks are sold separately by participating restaurants and bars. Age restrictions may apply at individual nightlife venues.
There is no festival-wide parking lot or central shuttle plan. Downtown guests should use public or private parking appropriate to their venue. Pensacola Beach attendees should follow the parking instructions of the restaurant, hotel or performance location they plan to visit.
Reservations may be useful at restaurants hosting popular writers, but the festival has not announced one reservation policy applying to every venue.
Community Outreach and Songwriting Competition
The October 5–7 outreach period will connect performers with schools, veterans and nonprofit organizations.
Partners include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, Valerie’s House, PACE Center for Girls, Rock4Vets, Guitars for Vets, Gulf Coast Kid’s House, Pensacola Beach Elementary School and Gulf Breeze Middle School.
The festival will also recognize winners of its national songwriting competition. The published awards include a $1,000 grand prize and $150 category prizes.

The expanded format allows visitors to choose a downtown evening, a beach weekend or several smaller songwriter rounds instead of committing to one large concert.
Review the live schedule by performer and venue before leaving home. Confirm whether the selected performance is free, ticketed or subject to a venue cover charge.
