Become a sponsorPensacola Beach lifeguards are officially back in their towers starting Saturday, February 28, 2026.
If you are planning early spring beach days, this marks the start of staffed safety coverage at Casino Beach.
Lifeguard Hours for Early Season
Beginning February 28, lifeguards will be stationed at Casino Beach daily from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Starting March 8, hours will adjust to 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM to align with daylight saving time and increased beach traffic.
As the season progresses and crowds increase, additional towers and expanded coverage typically follow heading into peak spring break and summer.
Why This Matters for Visitors
Pensacola Beach is beautiful year round, but Gulf conditions can change quickly. Having trained lifeguards on duty adds an important layer of safety for families, visitors, and spring breakers.
Lifeguards monitor surf conditions, respond to emergencies, and help educate beachgoers about daily flag warnings and water safety.
Before heading into the Gulf, it is smart to understand local conditions.
