Pelican Brings Upscale Dining and Entertainment to Nine Mile Road

Grand Opening: Saturday, November 7, 2026

1420 W. Nine Mile Road | Pensacola

One of Pensacola's most ambitious new entertainment destinations is celebrating its official grand opening this month.

Pelican combines upscale dining, a lively sports bar, a liquor store and virtual reality entertainment under one roof.

The business began welcoming guests during its soft opening on October 19, with its grand opening scheduled for Saturday, November 7.

Rather than operating as a traditional restaurant, Pelican offers several experiences within the same property.

Guests can enjoy a sit-down dinner in an upscale dining environment, gather with friends to watch a game or explore the venue's interactive entertainment offerings.

The concept also features self-service beer and whiskey walls, allowing guests to explore different beverages in a more interactive setting.

A virtual reality arcade adds another entertainment option, making Pelican particularly appealing for group outings and date nights.

For Pensacola residents looking for a new place to spend an evening, Pelican is one of the most interesting openings to watch this November.

Casa Luvia Brings an Upscale Mexican Dining Experience to Pensacola

Grand Opening: Saturday, November 7, 2026

7748 N. Davis Highway | Pensacola

A former Denny's restaurant on North Davis Highway has been transformed into a stylish new Mexican dining destination.

Casa Luvia, created by owner Luvia Gameros, brings elevated Mexican cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and modern décor to Pensacola.

The restaurant began its soft opening in October and is preparing for its official grand opening celebration on Saturday, November 7.

Inside, guests will find a redesigned dining space with a more upscale atmosphere than a traditional casual Mexican restaurant.

The menu focuses on Mexican dishes with an emphasis on presentation, flavor and quality ingredients.

Casa Luvia is also placing particular attention on its cocktail program, making it a potential destination for date nights, celebrations and dinners with friends.

Grand Opening Celebration

Casa Luvia's celebration begins at 6:30 PM on November 7 with music and photo opportunities.

Drink specials are planned from 7:30–8:30 PM.

The first 50 dine-in guests will also receive an offer for complimentary queso on a future visit.

If you're looking for a new restaurant to try around Pensacola, Casa Luvia deserves a spot on your list.

Launch Family Entertainment Brings a Massive Indoor Activity Center to Pensacola

Ribbon Cutting: Tuesday, November 10, 2026

8102 N. Davis Highway | Pensacola

Families looking for something new to do in Pensacola have another major entertainment destination to explore.

Launch Family Entertainment recently opened at Ferry Pass Plaza, transforming approximately 32,000 square feet into an indoor activity center.

The facility combines several popular attractions in one location, offering activities for children, teenagers and adults.

Visitors can enjoy trampoline courts, duckpin bowling, ninja-style obstacles, arcade games and an interactive Pixel Floor.

The venue also features KRAVE, Launch's restaurant and bar concept, allowing families and groups to enjoy food and drinks between activities.

Launch is operated by local father-and-son team John and Jeremy Reams.

The business is designed for birthday parties, family outings, group celebrations and anyone looking for an indoor activity during rainy or cooler weather.

Although Launch began welcoming customers in October, its official Chamber ribbon cutting is scheduled for November 10 at 1:30 PM.

With its combination of attractions, Launch is one of the more significant new family entertainment openings in Pensacola this fall.

Emerald Fortress Opens a New Gaming and Collectibles Destination

Grand Opening: Wednesday, November 4, 2026

Pensacola's gaming and collectibles community is getting a new place to gather.

Emerald Fortress is a veteran-owned hobby and gaming store specializing in trading card games, sports cards, Warhammer, collectibles and tabletop gaming.

But the concept goes beyond simply selling products.

The business is designed to provide a gathering place where collectors, players and gaming enthusiasts can meet, compete and participate in organized activities.

The store plans to host tournaments, leagues, card shows and gaming events.

For newcomers, Emerald Fortress offers an opportunity to explore hobbies such as Pokémon, trading card games and tabletop gaming in a community-oriented setting.

For experienced players and collectors, it provides another local destination for products, organized play and special events.

The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce has scheduled the store's grand opening celebration for November 4 from 4:30–5 PM.

Jones' Shakes Brings Specialty Milkshakes to University Town Plaza

Ribbon Cutting: Friday, November 20, 2026

University Town Plaza | Pensacola

Milkshake lovers have a new dessert destination to look forward to this November.

Jones' Shakes Pensacola is preparing to celebrate its opening at University Town Plaza, bringing a specialty milkshake concept to the popular shopping area.

Unlike a typical ice cream shop with a small selection of flavors, Jones' Shakes focuses on handcrafted milkshakes with hundreds of possible flavor combinations.

The concept emphasizes customization, giving guests the opportunity to create their own combinations and try something different from the usual chocolate, vanilla or strawberry shake.

The business also offers additional sweet treats.

For families, couples or groups looking for a dessert stop after dinner, Jones' Shakes could become a fun new option.

The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony for November 20 from 11–11:30 AM.

The exact first day of regular customer service has not yet been independently confirmed, so November 20 should be treated as the official ribbon-cutting date.
