Must Do Pensacola Donates to the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center Through “Stickers for a Cause”

This summer, Must Do Pensacola proudly wrapped up its first-ever “Stickers for a Cause” campaign, a community-driven effort designed to raise awareness and funds for the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center (NBSTCC). Thanks to the generosity of visitors and local businesses, the initiative successfully raised $500 to support the center’s ongoing conservation, education, and research programs protecting sea turtles and the Gulf Coast ecosystem.

Taking Pensacola Home While Giving Back

Must Do Pensacola’s exclusive “Wish You Were Here” sticker series has become a local favorite among visitors looking to take a little piece of Pensacola home. Each sticker features beloved local landmarks like the Pensacola Beach Ball Water Tower, Blue Angels, and the iconic Pensacola Beach Sign, making them the perfect keepsake or souvenir.

The stickers were distributed at hotels, shops, and donation boxes placed at partner locations around Pensacola Beach, with proceeds supporting the mission of the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center. Every sticker sold represented more than just a memento—it directly contributed to helping give sea turtles more tomorrows.

Community Partners Who Made It Possible

Must Do Pensacola extends heartfelt thanks to the local businesses that hosted donation boxes and helped make the program a success:

Their commitment to local conservation efforts demonstrates the strong bond between Pensacola Beach businesses and the natural beauty that draws millions to the Gulf Coast every year.

About the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center

Located on Navarre Beach, the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center is dedicated to protecting sea turtles through conservation, education, and research. Human activity remains the single greatest threat to sea turtles’ survival, and the NBSTCC works tirelessly to reduce that impact through hands-on community initiatives and public education.

Their ongoing programs include:

  • Trash-Bash: A monthly beach cleanup that removes between 1,400 pounds and one ton of debris each year from Navarre Beach. This citizen science program also contributes valuable data to national conservation organizations like NOAA and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

  • Sea Turtle Hero Location Program: Encourages local restaurants, condos, and vacation rentals to become certified Sea Turtle Hero Locations by adopting turtle-friendly practices and displaying educational materials to help protect nesting turtles.

  • Responsible Pier Initiative: A collaboration with pier operators and fishermen providing training, rescue nets, and pollution-prevention resources to reduce sea turtle injuries and entanglement.

  • Borrow Bin Project: Offers free beach toy and gear loan bins to reduce plastic waste along the shore.

  • Education Presentations: Interactive programs that teach visitors of all ages about sea turtles, marine conservation, and how small actions make a big difference.

  • Partnered Research Projects: Includes the Sea Turtle Nesting Research Program, where temperature and humidity data loggers are placed in nesting sites to study how sand temperature affects hatchling sex ratios and survival rates..
