Become a sponsorInnerlight Surf Camp is officially open for Summer 2026, offering kids, teens, and even adults the chance to learn how to surf on Pensacola Beach with experienced instructors in a fun, supportive environment.
Whether participants are brand new to surfing or looking to improve their skills, Innerlight Surf Camp combines hands-on surf instruction with ocean education, beach safety, and classic summer fun on the Gulf Coast.
What to Expect at Innerlight Surf Camp
Innerlight Surf Camp focuses on building confidence in the water while teaching the fundamentals of surfing and ocean awareness. Campers receive expert guidance from premier surf instructors and learn more than just how to stand up on a board.
Instruction includes surfing etiquette, surf culture, proper techniques, balance, and safety. Campers also learn about ocean science, including waves, tides, and marine life. When surf conditions are flat, the camp still runs with paddle contests, team games, and beach activities to keep participants engaged and active.
Each camper also receives an Innerlight Surf Camp t-shirt, stickers, and additional camp goodies.
Who Can Attend Surf Camp
Participants must be at least 7 years old and strong swimmers. Innerlight has hosted a wide age range over the years, with campers from ages 7 to 78, making this a great option for kids, teens, and even adults interested in learning to surf.
In limited cases, children under 7 may be allowed to participate if they meet specific criteria. Parents can inquire directly by emailing [email protected].

Where Surf Camp Is Located
Innerlight Surf Camp takes place on Pensacola Beach, Florida. The camp site is located in the parking lot just before Portofino Resorts when heading east, and just past the Calle Hermosa neighborhood.
This central beach location provides easy access to the Gulf and a safe, controlled area for instruction.
Additional Lessons, Rentals, and Parties
In addition to Surf Camp, Innerlight also offers private and group surf lessons, surfboard rentals, and surf-related parties. These options are available outside of camp sessions for families or groups looking for a custom surf experience.
Weather, Safety, and Frequently Asked Questions
Innerlight closely monitors weather and surf conditions. Camp will not enter the water during dangerous conditions. If weather or surf forces a cancellation, families are offered a makeup day or refund.
If surf conditions are flat, camp continues with skill building, paddling instruction, and beach activities.
Participants should be confident swimmers, as the Gulf is very different from a swimming pool. Families are encouraged to reach out with questions or concerns before registering.
How to Learn More or Get Help
Families with additional questions can review the camp FAQs or contact Innerlight directly at [email protected].
