The Fourth of July falls on a Saturday in 2026, giving Pensacola and the surrounding Gulf Coast a full day of patriotic events, fireworks, live music, races, beach activities, and family-friendly celebrations.

From the Firecracker 5K in downtown Pensacola to fireworks cruises on Pensacola Beach, Symphony Sparks & Stars at Community Maritime Park, Milton Riverfest, and beachside celebrations in Navarre and Perdido Key, there are several ways to celebrate Independence Day this year.

Here are some of the top Fourth of July events happening around Pensacola in 2026.

Firecracker 5K in Downtown Pensacola

Saturday, July 4

Starts and ends at Seville Quarter

Start the Fourth of July early with the 2026 Firecracker 5K in downtown Pensacola.

The race benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida and invites both runners and walkers to take part. The course starts and ends at Seville Quarter, and participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue for the holiday-themed race.

After the 5K, the event continues with a Kids Fun Run, finisher medals, giveaways, and a McDonald’s After Party inside Seville Quarter.

Regular registration ends Thursday, July 2 at 11:59 PM. Late registration pricing begins Friday, July 3 and continues until race start time.

Packet pickup will take place Friday, July 3 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Apple Annie’s inside Seville Quarter, located at 130 E. Government Street. Race day packet pickup will also be available from 6 AM to 6:45 AM inside Seville Quarter.

Symphony Sparks & Stars in Downtown Pensacola

Symphony Sparks & Stars brings a free Fourth of July concert to Hunter Amphitheater behind Blue Wahoos Stadium.

The evening begins at 7 PM with the McGuire’s Pipe Band and a military flyover. The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra performance begins at 7:30 PM and features patriotic favorites, an Armed Forces Salute, and more.

Josh Gay will emcee the event, and Brent Lane from Cat Country 98.7 will count down to the fireworks at 9 PM.

Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for the free concert. Blue Wahoos Stadium will also host a separate ticketed celebration with water slides, lawn games, wiffle ball, music, Kazoo, and concessions available for purchase.

Glow Paddle Fireworks Experience on Pensacola Beach

Glow Paddle is offering a special Fourth of July glow kayaking experience during the Pensacola Beach fireworks.

Guests will launch after dark in clear, LED-lit kayaks and enjoy the fireworks from the water. The experience is self-paced, making it a unique way to watch the show without standing in the crowds on the sand.

The glow kayaks light up the water around you while the fireworks light up the sky over Pensacola Beach.

No kayaking experience is required. Spots are limited and this event is expected to sell out.

Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise on the Frisky Mermaid

Frisky Mermaid is offering a special Independence Day fireworks cruise on Pensacola Beach.

Guests will board the 52-foot Frisky Mermaid and enjoy the fireworks from the water with access to an open bow, shaded mid-deck, and climate-controlled interior seating options.

Instead of watching from the crowded beach, this cruise gives guests a different view of the fireworks from Pensacola Beach.

Guests should arrive at the loading area behind Shaggy’s 30 minutes before departure and listen for the boarding announcement from the crew. Parking and traffic are expected to be busy for the holiday, so plan to arrive early.

Live Music and Fireworks at Juana’s Pagodas in Navarre

Navarre Beach will also be celebrating the Fourth of July with live music and fireworks at Juana’s Pagodas.

The celebration will take over the Big Beach Stage with music, beach views, and a patriotic holiday atmosphere. It is a good option for families and visitors looking to spend the day on Navarre Beach before watching fireworks in the evening.

Plan for heavy beach traffic and arrive early if you want parking near Juana’s or the Navarre Beach area.

Freedom Run at Flora-Bama

Flora-Bama’s 6th Annual Freedom Run takes place Saturday, July 4, rain or shine.

The patriotic run includes two course options: a 4-mile run or walk and a 1-mile fun run or walk. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue, with patriotic outfits, flags, socks, shirts, and accessories encouraged.

Registration includes a race shirt for the first 400 registrants, patriotic swag, and food and drinks at the post-race party. All fun run participants will receive a finisher medal, and awards will be given to first place winners in each category.

This is a fun way to start the holiday near the beach before spending the rest of the day at Flora-Bama or along the Gulf Coast.

Milton Riverfest

Saturday, July 4
4 PM to 8:30 PM
Jernigan’s Landing and downtown Milton

Milton Riverfest will bring Fourth of July festivities to the Blackwater River area with live music, food vendors, children’s activities, waterslides, a duck race, and fireworks.

Festivities at Jernigan’s Landing begin at 4 PM with waterslides, face painting, and food vendors running throughout the event. Parents or guardians must sign a waiver for children to use the waterslides.

At 5 PM, the Blackwater Pyrates Duck Race will take place along the riverwalk. The Blue Anchor Belles will perform on the main stage at 5:30 PM.

At 6 PM, the children’s wagon and foot parade and chalk coloring contest begin at Veterans Memorial Plaza. Both events are hosted by the Santa Rosa Arts and Culture Foundation. The Chase Mitchell Band will perform on the main stage at 6:30 PM.

The fireworks display will light up Milton at 8:30 PM.

For boaters, the city has posted several rules for the event:

No docking on Riverwalk. Passenger drop-offs and pick-ups will be allowed.

No boating from the Highway 90 bridge to the train trestle from 3 PM to 8 PM.

No boating from Russell Harbor Landing and the train trestle from 8 PM until the end of the fireworks display.

A no wake zone will be in effect all day.

Fourth of July is one of the busiest days of the summer around Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach, Perdido Key, and Milton.

Plan ahead for traffic, parking, heat, and crowds. If you are heading to the beach, check beach flags before getting in the water. If you are boating, watch for restricted zones, no wake areas, and increased holiday enforcement.

For fireworks, concerts, cruises, and special experiences, arriving early is the best move.
