City of Pensacola Introduces Updated Brand Identity

City of Pensacola Rebrand and New Logo

The City of Pensacola recently introduced a refreshed brand identity that includes a new Pensacola logo, updated colors, and revised visual standards for use across city departments. City officials described the effort as a modernization intended to create consistency across signage, vehicles, and digital platforms while maintaining familiar elements such as the phrase Where Florida Begins. Local reporting indicates the Pensacola rebrand cost approximately $33,000 and was funded through the mayor’s discretionary budget, which allows certain expenditures to be approved without a separate City Council vote. The city has stated the new branding will be phased in over time as existing materials are replaced.

**According to more recent reporting from local news, the mayor’s office stated the cost for the new logo portion of the Pensacola rebrand was about $25,000, and that city council members were made aware of the project well before it was publicly announced.

Design Work and Related City Contracts

The design work for the Pensacola rebrand was completed by HatchMark Studio, a Pensacola based firm that provides branding, marketing, and digital services. HatchMark Studio has also completed private sector branding projects in the community, including work for Perfect Plain Brewing Co., a downtown Pensacola business that was previously co founded by Mayor D. C. Reeves before he ran for office. In addition to the city rebrand, HatchMark Studio currently holds other city and city affiliated contracts, including a $30,000 agreement for social media management for the Port of Pensacola and a separate contract for the Pensacola International Airport website redesign valued between approximately $89,400 and $145,300.
