Admission and Reserved Seating
General admission, parking and open flight-line seating are free. Visitors may bring blankets or lawn chairs for the designated general-admission areas.
Reserved box seating costs $50 per person for guests age 4 and older, plus processing and ticket fees. Children age 3 and younger may sit on an adult’s lap without a separate paid seat.
Flightline Chalet packages cost $300 for a table of two or $600 for a table of four, plus fees. The packages include reserved tables, catered lunches, unlimited soda and water, access to a cash bar, a tented area and private portable restrooms.
Paid seating may be available at the gate if it has not sold out, but the organizers recommend purchasing reserved seating in advance.
What Visitors Can See
In addition to the Blue Angels, the Homecoming Air Show will feature aerial performers, static aircraft displays and aviation-related exhibits.
Visitors can also expect food and souvenir vendors, interactive displays, virtual games and a children’s fun zone. The National Naval Aviation Museum, located beside the airfield, is expected to be open during the event.
The official daily performance order can change because of weather or operational needs. Check the air show website before leaving for the base.
Parking and Entering NAS Pensacola
Parking is free. Drivers will be directed to the closest available parking area by security personnel. Shuttle service will operate from designated overflow lots as the areas closest to the show fill.
Passenger drop-offs at the flight-line entrance are not permitted. Everyone arriving together should remain in the vehicle until directed into a parking area.
Accessible parking is available west of the tarmac near the accessible viewing area. Accessible shuttles will also operate from designated parking lots.
Limited RV parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Overnight RV parking is not allowed at the air show site.
Heavy traffic and long waits should be expected before and after the show. Arriving close to the Blue Angels’ scheduled flight time could mean missing other performers or spending a significant portion of the day in traffic and security lines.
What You Can Bring
Lawn chairs and blankets are permitted in general-admission areas and are subject to inspection.
Small purses and diaper bags are allowed but may be searched. Most larger bags, including backpacks and camera bags, are prohibited. Photography equipment is permitted if it can be carried by hand.
Strollers and wagons are allowed, although they cannot block aisles or seating areas.
Outside food and drinks are not permitted on the flight line, except for non-glass baby bottles and small snacks for young children. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Weapons, pocketknives, multi-tools, pepper spray, pop-up tents and pets are prohibited. Service animals are permitted under applicable rules.
Plan for Noise, Sun and Crowds
The official air show guidance strongly encourages hearing protection, especially for children. Earplugs will be available for purchase, but families may prefer to bring properly fitted hearing protection.
General-admission areas have little or no shade. Visitors should bring sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. Umbrellas are discouraged because they can obstruct other spectators’ views and are prohibited in paid seating areas.
Because more than 300,000 attendees are expected over the weekend, early arrival is the best way to reduce parking pressure and secure a preferred viewing location.
Check the official air show website for the latest schedule and security information, then purchase reserved seating in advance if you do not want to rely on the free open-seating areas.
